SEMH Teaching Assistant – Littlehampton

Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex

Hours: 08:30 AM – 03:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £89 per day PAYE, temp to perm

We need a calm, patient SEMH Teaching Assistant in Littlehampton to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. You’ll be part of a team helping children access learning through tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEMH needs using planned strategies and therapeutic approaches.

• Assist with behaviour plans, de-escalation and emotional coaching.

• Work with teachers to deliver differentiated learning activities.

• Record observations and support multi-agency communication.

Skills & Experience / What We’re Looking For:

• Patience, resilience and strong interpersonal skills.

• Transferable skills: emotional literacy, de-escalation, teamwork, observation.

• Experience with SEMH is desirable; training provided.

Additional Information:
