We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Eastbourne area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during a vital stage of their education, helping them build confidence, strengthen key academic skills, and prepare for the transition to secondary education.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will provide classroom support, deliver targeted small-group interventions, and offer 1:1 assistance where needed. The successful candidate will be proactive, positive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

The Role

• Support teaching and learning within a KS2 classroom
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and learning activities
• Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional assistance
• Deliver and support small group interventions in core subjects
• Encourage confidence, independence, and active participation in learning
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Provide lunchtime supervision and pupil welfare support
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
