Are you passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their lives? We are currently seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our team in Worthing. With an ongoing contract, this exciting opportunity offers £76 per day, Monday to Friday, during term time only.

At our school, we take pride in providing high-quality education and care to our students, especially those with complex needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our mission, supporting our students and helping them reach their full potential.

To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with a genuine love for working with children. Patience, compassion, and effective communication skills are key attributes that will enable you to connect with children of all ages and backgrounds. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with a can-do attitude, will make you the ideal candidate.

While formal qualifications are not necessary, relevant experience in a nursery setting, childcare, or working with individuals with learning disabilities will be highly valued. If you have previous experience volunteering, leading after-school clubs, or engaging with holiday clubs, that would be a great advantage too.

Your workday will start at 8:30 am and end at 3:30 pm, giving you ample time for work-life balance.

Role: Teaching Assistant

Days and Times: 8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday, Term Time Only. 

Location: Shoreham 

Contract: Ongoing – perm feel. £76 per day with a pay rise in April TBC.

If successful, the school will invite you in for a morning to meet the team and children for an unpaid trial (8:15-12:00, one weekday) rather than interviews and written tasks to complete.

With more than one vacancy, the school will suggest a class that would utilise your skillset and potential. For example, there are classes with behavioural needs that require experience with complex needs. However, some classes lean more towards care and they would look for care experience. For the early years, experience in nurseries or studies in child development would be desirable. Please note that the role of TA means that the candidate must be flexible and, due to potentially covering staff, you must be happy to work anywhere in the school.
