About the Role

We’re working with a fantastic primary school in Horsham who are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with ADD. You’ll be offering consistent emotional regulation support, helping them engage with learning, and guiding them through daily routines.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing 1:1 support tailored to the child’s needs
  • Helping with focus, engagement and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo
  • Supporting learning in class and during small‑group/individual activities
  • Creating a calm, structured and positive environment
  • Helping the child build confidence, independence and resilience

What the School Are Looking For

  • Someone patient, nurturing and consistent
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children
  • Experience with ADHD/ADD or SEMH is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Someone who can think on their feet and stay calm under pressure
