A well-respected specialist provision in Southampton is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication needs.

The school prides itself on creating a calm, structured learning environment where pupils benefit from predictable routines, clear expectations and supportive staff who genuinely care about their progress.

You will work alongside experienced teachers and therapists to support pupils both academically and socially, helping them access learning in a way that works for them.

Your role will include:

Supporting pupils with Autism on a 1:1 basis
Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour
Supporting classroom learning and structured activities
Encouraging independence and social interaction
Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff

The school is looking for someone who is patient, positive and confident building relationships with pupils who may struggle in mainstream environments.

Essential requirements:

DBS on the Update Service
Up to date safeguarding training

Immediate work available for the right candidate with potential for a long-term placement.
