The school is dedicated primary school catering to children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). We are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to join our PMLD class for the summer term. The successful candidate will work closely with a Senior Teaching Assistant and three other Teaching Assistants to support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and care to up to 10 children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities.
  • Provide personal care and support to children with PMLD.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to monitor and assess student progress.
  • Support the physical, emotional, and social development of the children.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children with PMLD.
  • Knowledge of best practices in supporting children with severe and profound learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs
