Teaching Assistant – SEMH & MLD School

£110 per day | Full-Time | 8:30am – 4:30pm | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | September Start

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a brand-new specialist school opening in Esher this September.

This exciting new provision will support pupils aged 7–17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). As part of a brand-new team, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape a positive, nurturing learning environment from day one.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Encourage engagement, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Support pupils in and out of the classroom.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider team to deliver personalised support.
• Build positive relationships that help pupils thrive.

We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within a SEND, SEMH or education setting.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
