Pay: £98.57 per day

We are seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Burgess Hill. Conveniently located right by a train station, this role is ideal for a patient and supportive individual with experience or interest in supporting students with additional needs in a structured and nurturing environment.

The role may include some personal care, and full training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with SEN in the classroom and around the school
Providing consistent, individualised support to promote learning and independence
Assisting with personal care where required
Working closely with teaching and support staff to implement support strategies
Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement
Following safeguarding procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
Confidence discussing safeguarding and child wellbeing
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
