Teaching Assistant – Primary SEND School (Crawley)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary special needs school in Crawley. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a small, nurturing classroom environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a variety of SEND needs, including both verbal and non-verbal children
  • Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs
  • Helping to manage and respond to challenging behaviour in a calm and supportive manner
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and social development
  • Working closely alongside the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants to create a positive learning environment

Key Details:

  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:45pm
  • Pay: £92.63 per day
  • Small class sizes, allowing for more focused support
  • Opportunity for temporary-to-permanent positions for the right candidate

Requirements:

  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Willingness to support children with complex needs and behaviours
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to take direction from teaching staff
  • Must be fully cleared through Pink Tile Education

Recruitment Process:
There is no formal interview process. Instead, candidates will be invited to attend a trial day to ensure the role is the right fit for both you and the school.

Pay includes 12.07% holiday pay. We aim to respond within three working days; due to high volumes, individual feedback may not always be possible.
