About Us:

We are an exciting new specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Horley, supporting students aged 11–17 with complex emotional and behavioural needs. With small class sizes and a therapeutic approach at our core, we are committed to creating a nurturing environment where every young person can thrive.

The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Thrive Practitioner to join our founding team. You will play a key role in embedding the Thrive Approach across the school, supporting students’ emotional development and helping them build the resilience and confidence needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted Thrive interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to integrate Thrive strategies into daily classroom practice.
  • Support the development of personalised emotional development plans.
  • Monitor and track student progress using Thrive Online.
  • Contribute to a whole-school culture of emotional well-being and trauma-informed practice.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on the Thrive Approach.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Thrive Practitioner qualification (Essential).
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of emotional development and trauma-informed practice.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and nurturing approach.
