About the Role

  • Full responsibility for a friendly, motivated Year 2 class
  • Delivering purposeful, engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Working closely with your Y2 team to plan, assess and review learning
  • Supporting pupils through the crucial transition between KS1 and KS2
  • Creating a warm, structured environment that supports progress and independence
  • Contributing to wider school life, values and community events

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified primary teacher (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
  • Confident in delivering the KS1 curriculum, especially Y2 expectations
  • Passionate about high‑quality teaching and pupil progress
  • Skilled at fostering positive relationships with pupils and families
  • Organised, reflective and proactive in their practice
  • A strong team‑player who enjoys collaboration within a 3‑form entry structure
