We are working closely with a well-run primary school in St Leonards who are seeking an experienced Year 2 Primary Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from February.
The school has a strong KS1 team, clear routines, and shared planning across the year group. Behaviour expectations are consistent, and teachers are well supported by experienced teaching assistants and a visible senior leadership team.
This role would suit a teacher who enjoys structure, values teamwork, and understands the importance of supporting pupils as they consolidate early learning skills.
The successful Year 2 Teacher will be responsible for:
• Planning and delivering engaging KS1 lessons
• Supporting pupils’ progress in reading, writing, and maths
• Establishing clear routines and expectations
• Assessing learning and adapting teaching accordingly
• Working closely with support staff and senior leaders
Essential requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• KS1 teaching experience
• Enhanced DBS
• Up-to-date safeguarding training
Pay: From £140 per day, paid weekly
