A lovely 2‑form entry primary school just outside Chichester is seeking a confident and engaging Year 5 Class Teacher for a maternity cover until the end of the summer term — with a strong possibility of a continuation into a Year 4 role after the summer.

About the Role

You’ll be taking on a well‑established Year 5 class, delivering high‑quality teaching, engaging lessons and maintaining strong relationships with pupils and families. The role offers the perfect blend of independence and team support, with phase partners and leadership on hand whenever needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Teaching the Year 5 curriculum with creativity, clarity and confidence
  • Sharing planning and resources with your Year 5 partner teacher
  • Delivering engaging lessons that stretch, challenge and support all learners
  • Building excellent relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Contributing to the wider school community and ethos
