Are you an experienced and passionate Key Stage 2 teacher ready to take on a rewarding Year 6 role in a supportive and welcoming village school?

We are working with a small, community-focused primary school near Horsham seeking a confident and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a one-year maternity cover from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a close-knit setting where staff, pupils, and families work together to achieve the very best outcomes.


The Role:

  • Full responsibility for a Year 6 class
  • Preparing pupils for SATs and transition to secondary school
  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
  • Supporting pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN
  • Working collaboratively with a supportive SLT and wider team
  • Contributing to the positive, inclusive school culture

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Year 6 
  • Good understanding of SATs preparation and expectations
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership
  • A positive, nurturing, and flexible approach
  • Commitment to high standards and pupil progress
