Pink Tile Education is recruiting for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision in Crawley, supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.

Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant position.
Based in Crawley.
Supporting children and young people with a range of SEND needs.
Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:45pm.
£93 per day.
Temp-to-perm opportunity available.
This specialist SEND provision in Crawley supports children and young people with a wide range of complex needs, creating a safe, structured and nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive.
The pupils have a variety of individual needs, including:
Complex learning needs.
Sensory processing needs.
Communication difficulties.
Non-verbal communication.
Autism and associated needs.
Physical or developmental needs.
Some pupils may communicate using symbols, Makaton, PECS or other alternative communication methods, so experience supporting children with communication challenges would be highly beneficial.
Staff work closely together to understand each child’s individual needs, helping pupils develop confidence, independence and their ability to communicate with those around them.
Support pupils with complex SEND needs throughout the school day.
Help children access learning through personalised activities and sensory approaches.
Support pupils who are non-verbal or have limited communication skills.
Use communication tools such as Makaton, symbols, PECS and visual resources to support understanding and engagement.
Provide support with sensory activities and emotional regulation.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
Work alongside teachers, therapists and fellow Learning Support Assistants to provide consistent support.
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND.
Ideally has experience supporting complex needs, Autism, sensory needs or communication difficulties.
Is patient, compassionate and adaptable.
Understands the importance of building relationships and providing consistent support.
Has experience using Makaton, symbols, PECS or other communication systems (desirable).
Is comfortable supporting pupils with personal care and additional physical needs where required.
Enjoys working as part of a dedicated team.
Is looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant role in Crawley.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
Right to work in the UK.
